Rubber material recovered from end-of-life tyres in defined particle sizes — raw material for sports surfaces, mouldings and construction products.
From tyre to raw material
Rubber granulate is produced by shredding end-of-life tyres mechanically and then separating out the steel cord and the textile fibres. What remains is pure rubber in a defined particle size. Ground further, it becomes rubber powder — a fine crumb used as a filler and as a compound ingredient.
Unlike fuel use, this keeps the material itself in service. It is material recycling in the strict sense and ranks above energy recovery in the waste hierarchy.
Origin
The granulate is produced from our own tyre intake and at specialist processing companies we work with. The material is checked for particle size and for freedom from steel and textile before we take it on.

Specification
Particle size, freedom from steel and textile and bulk density are documented for every batch. Binding values come with the quotation.

What the granulate does not contain
Foreign matter in the granulate turns straight into scrap at the processor. Excluded are:
- Free steel wire above the agreed tolerance
- Textile fibre content above the agreed tolerance
- Plastic, wood and mineral foreign matter
- Foreign rubber of unknown origin
- Material contaminated with oil or chemicals

Frequently asked questions
- Does the granulate meet the PAH requirements?
- Limit values for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons apply to applications involving skin or consumer contact. Tell us the application and we will establish which evidence is required and whether the material meets it.
- Do you supply coloured granulate?
- On request. Coloured material is a separate processing step and is priced separately.
- How consistent is the particle size?
- The screen curve is checked for every batch. We agree tolerances in advance — that is more reliable than promising a nominal size with no range around it.
